The best study spots around campus

Getting a good cram session in is all about ambiance. When you are at the right place, studying is actually (a little bit) enjoyable!

Here are a few of my favorite places on campus to study and do some homework.

The Vaughn Conservatory Greenhouse AKA Narnia is full of sunshine and beautiful plants. There are tables to sit and do homework at. I’m always more focused here because only a few people are in and out.

Bonus: walking by the fish tanks on my way in and saying hi to Nemo and Dory.

Vaughn Library is where I go when I have an assignment due the next day and need somewhere to work late, or when I have a group project and we need a space to meet up. The library stays open Monday-Thursday until 11:30 p.m. which gives me plenty of time to grind on the quiet floor upstairs.

Bonus: when I forget my textbook the library has a copy I can borrow.

Outside is my first choice for studying—on the quad, by the flying geese, and at the tables and spread out everywhere on campus. Right now, the spring flowers are in full bloom, the weather is amazing, and the Ina Brundrett Azalea Garden is a great place for me to focus while enjoying myself!

Bonus: friends will walk by and say hi, so I get my studying done but also have fun breaks.
